Our History
Kaulana Schenk began learning electrical work in 1997 under his father who owned his own company. After some years working together, he decided to branch out and learn from other people, embracing different experiences and work cultures. While pursuing new opportunities and expanding his skill set, Kaulana decided to create his own company and officially founded K Schenk Electric alongside his wife Anela in 2008. Since then, the company has expanded to include other family members, evolving into a proud, family-operated business.

When Kaulana decided to start his own electrical company, she switched careers and became the other face of K Schenk Electric. She runs the commercial and operational aspects of the company and will most likely be your first point of contact for KSE. Her duties range from scheduling, invoicing and billing, and customer service. With the luxury of working from a home office, she raised and manages her 3 kids. With 2 kids currently in college & 1 in high school, Anela was able to also obtain her Real Estate license. With the knowledge of the electrical trade and of real estate, she understands how the two work hand in hand and thus is able to better the company's workflow and services. In her free time, Anela enjoys reading, traveling, and watching her kids play sports.

Though their dad tried to convince her to join the trade, electrical work wasn't the path she saw for herself. It wasn't until her brother convinced her to give it a chance where she found that she enjoys troubleshooting and solving seemingly impossible problems. He taught her most of what she knows today and at work she is Kaulana's right-hand person, working as the foreman. When she's not working her favorite thing to do is spend time with family, especially her grandbabies. Her work on top of her family life keep her busy but she wouldn't have it any other way.
